C is an orphan and grew up on the streets of cyber city, the bad streets. She learned welding and mechanics from doing it. Wanting to leave the slowly decaying city she works tirelessly for both the money she needs to survive till tomorrow and to build herself a way out. To that end she has been building her own armored spaceship in secret in an abandoned part of town with whatever scrap she can salvage for cheep from the junk yard.
