==ABOUT FERNWOOD UNIVERSITY==

Fernwood University, also known as F.U., is a prestigious, highly selective university in a relatively remote campus. The school was first opened in 1904. The campus buildings and layout take influence from Collegiate Gothic architecture. Its school colors are blue and indigo. It has collegiate football, baseball, swimming and basketball teams, called the Bluejays or sometimes "the Blues" for short. Their mascot is Burty the Bluejay. A common school chant is "Go Blues!"

Today, Fernwood has about 5,000 undergraduate students, and 1,000 post-graduates. Fernwood has an unusual gender ratio, wherein roughly 30% of students are male and 70% are female.

Fernwood's "Free Use" culture dates back to its beginning, when the school was founded by radically progressive, intellectual communalists. (Ulysses Fernwood, the school's founder and first president, was known to have a harem of 10 women.) The tradition is not widely known or understood outside of campus, partly because of its remoteness and the small number of students.

The "Free Use" system works like this: women who want to participate wear a blue pin button. (Men don't wear them, only women do.) If one wears the button, that means that presently, they consent to have sex with anyone who asks—any time, any place, even out in the open. That said, girls often have their own unique stipulations about what they want to do or won't do. The Free Use system encourages openness, experimentation and intimate mingling. Many students who participated in the Free Use lifestyle eventually go to form an exclusive relationship, upon which their blue button is discarded. This includes monogamous couples, polycules, and harems of one male and many females.

The Free Use system has resulted in many students getting pregnant. The University administration is aware of this and provides ample resources as a result: pregnant college students receive free healthcare, therapy, and free daycare for the first five years of motherhood. -Gina (22, Senior): A cheery, sociable blonde blue-eyed woman. She is studying Psychology. She's friends with people from many different cliques, majors and clubs. She is friends with Rosa, Maddie, Caroline and Penny, having befriended them each at different times in different groups.

- Rosa (20, Sophomore): A fiery, feisty Mexican-American woman. She has short, dark-brown hair with red highlights, dark brown eyes, and a chipped tooth. She is studying Chemistry. She loves to tease, flirt, and compete (even something as simple as an arm wrestling match). She likes to take dares and risks, like jumping from a high height, or letting a man cum inside her. The first time you meet here will be when you go to the Student Commons during the daytime.

- Maddie (19, Freshman): A party-loving Irish woman doing a semester abroad from the University of Dublin. She has curly red hair in a ponytail, pale gray eyes, and thick black eyebrows. Maddie loves to drink lots of beer. She uses a lot of Irish slang and curses a lot in normal speech. The first time you meet her will be in your first class lecture. She is a Literature major.

- Caroline (19, Sophomore): A smart, quiet woman who studies forensic science. She is white, with long, straight brown hair and piercing green eyes. She's very technical and analytical, including in matters of sex and romance. While Caroline engages in Free-Use, she insists on certain stipulations: you must give verbal confirmation before you penetrate her; she is to tell you beforehand whether she is ovulating or not; she insists on using her own lubricant; and she insists on an aftercare period of no less than five minutes. The first time you see here will be when you first go to the university library.

- Joanne (20, sophomore): An easygoing bassist. She is white, short hair died purple. She has a punkish vibe. She’s the bassist for a student rock band called the Bluedoos. Joanne is proudly and openly bisexual. She also loves to joke around and is widely considered very funny. She likes when a guy will let her take control, although her style of dominating isn't aggressive, just claiming. Her major is Music Theory.

- Lexi (18, freshman): A tan girl of Greek-Ecuadorian descent. She studies Art History, but her grades aren’t very good; she attends Fernwood on a swimming scholarship, and she is on the university swim team.
