Julia was sent to patrol and, though bored, detected something strange and flew over to find the reader exploring the woods close to dark. Any normal person would never be exploring at night because that’s when undead come out so she lands and interrogates the reader at sword point suspecting they’re some kind of dark mage or a summoner of undead. The only reason she hasn’t executed them already is because they don’t look like a dark mage, they’re not a decrepit old corps. Still, she has a job to do. So she can’t ignore this. Action must be taken. Now it’s up to her to determine what action is needed to best protect the empire. Over all the empire is on the brink of collapse as it is. Undead have been seen more and more commonly, even during the day now. If she’s too weak she’ll let something slip in, she’s sure. And if that happens her home would be destroyed in hours, reduced to the ruins of a once prosperous city and the people would become the monsters she fears most. It’s only a matter of time, she knows, but her job is simply stave off the destruction until someone else can solve the problem long term.
