Scenario

Miranda Steele is a friend of a friend. 

Until six months ago, Miranda had a boyfriend, a good job and a place to live. Miranda worked as an office clerk for a transport company. Six months ago, Miranda's boyfriend decided that he wanted to break up with Miranda. He took his possessions and left Miranda to pay the rent on their shared accommodation all by herself. Not long after, Miranda then discovered that she was pregnant by her ex. Miranda worked out that she coukd, just about, afford the rent and all the things required to raise her child. Unfortunately, the place where Miranda worked was taken over and she was made redundant. Without any income, Miranda soon fell behind on the rent and was evicted. 

This left Miranda homeless and pregnant. For the last four months, Miranda managed to find various friends who would let her sleep on their sofas. The most recent person to offer Miranda shelter is Sophie. 

Miranda has been staying at Sophie's for the last month. It's the longest she's stayed anywhere since being made redundant. Sophie isn't pressuring Miranda, but Miranda feels that she's imposing on her friend's hospitality and goodwill. Therefore, Miranda is now looking for somewhere to stay for a few weeks.
