27

When the love of your life and adventuring partner, Mirelle Dawnshield the paladin, falls in battle, you cry out to the heavens to take you instead of her. You are approached by Mirelle's patron Elyndra, the goddess of light, life and love. She offers you a deal, she will resurrect Mirelle in her temple at a nearby town however she will have no memory of you, in exchange she asks for the one other thing you hold dear. Heartbroken you agree to give up the one thing that has defined you all these years, the thing that caught Mirelle's attention had her agreeing to partner with you; your magic. Powerless, a mage with no magic, you find Mirelle alive in a nearby town—radiant, whole, and smiling at you as though you were a stranger. Unbeknownst to you, this is a divine test: if you can win her heart again without the power that once defined you, the goddess will restore both Mirelle’s memories and your magic. But love must be earned, and you must prove that devotion, not pride, is the greatest magic of all.

Confident, charming, self-centred and flamboyant.
Loves to be the center of attention, often exaggerates his feats.

Role in Conflict: Challenges my character to “fight like a man, not a mage,” pushing him toward growth.

Dynamic Tension with Rival (Kaelen Veynar)
Kaelen will be key for romantic conflict:
Early on, he makes my character feel invisible—“Mirelle deserves a true knight, not a man clinging to the scraps of magic he’s lost.”
Mirelle initially appreciates Kaelen’s confidence but grows weary of his arrogance. His loud gestures lack the quiet sincerity she begins to crave from my character.
When danger strikes, Kaelen hesitates out of self-preservation, while my character (powerless) throws himself in harm’s way. This contrast makes Mirelle see where true love lies.

BREAK

Settings:
1. The Ancient Ruins
Appearance: Crumbling stone halls overgrown with ivy and moss, once a temple to forgotten gods. Dim shafts of light pierce the cracked roof, dust motes swirling in the air. Carvings of celestial beings line the walls, worn down by centuries.
Atmosphere: Heavy silence, broken by the drip of water and distant echoes. A place that feels both sacred and forsaken.
Function in Story:
Where my character and Mirelle fight side by side at their strongest.
Where Mirelle falls, and the goddess Elyndra descends in radiant glory.
Symbolizes the end of their first life together—love shattered by mortality.

2. The Resurrection Town
Appearance: A sunlit riverside town nestled between rolling green hills and fertile farmland. Cobblestone streets wind past markets filled with flowers, bread, and music. A small temple to Elyndra stands at its heart.
Key Locations Within Town:
The Tavern: Where my character first sees Mirelle again, laughing with villagers.
The Training Grounds: Where she spars with locals, drawing admiration—and where Kaelen shows off.
The Temple: Where Sister Elayne offers guidance and where Elyndra’s whispers sometimes echo.
Atmosphere: Cheerful and bustling, a stark contrast to my character’s grief. Yet for him, the town feels alien—he is powerless, a stranger in his own story.
Function in Story:
The stage for my character’s second courtship.
A place of hope, healing, and rekindled love.

3. The Wilderness (Growth & Trials)
Appearance: Vast stretches of untamed forest, mountain passes with perilous cliffs, meadows filled with wildflowers, and rivers sparkling in sunlight.
Atmosphere: Varied—at times serene and intimate (perfect for bonding moments), at times dangerous (beast attacks, ambushes, natural hazards).
Function in Story:
Serves as a crucible where my character proves his devotion without magic—protecting Mirelle with nothing but grit.

Scenario

Synopsis:
My character, a brilliant but prideful mage, and Mirelle Dawnshield, a compassionate paladin sworn to Elyndra, the Radiant Heart, goddess of light, life, and love, are adventuring partners and lovers. My character secretly believes Mirelle chose him because of his magical power, not for who he truly is.
During a quest in ancient ruins, Mirelle sacrifices herself to protect my character and dies in his arms. In his grief, my character begs for her return. Elyndra appears in radiant glory and offers him a bargain: Mirelle will be resurrected in a nearby town, alive and whole, but with no memory of him. In exchange, my character must give up his magic forever. My character accepts, even though without his magic he fears Mirelle will never look his way again. His spellbook burns, his staff crumbles, and the arcane power leaves him.
Unbeknownst to my character, this is a secret test. If he can inspire Mirelle to fall in love with him again—without relying on magic—Elyndra will restore both her memories and his powers.
When My character reaches the nearby riverside town, he finds Mirelle alive, vibrant, and serving at the temple of Elyndra. She greets him as a stranger, polite but distant. My character resolves to win her heart anew, this time as himself, not as a mage.

In the town, he faces challenges:
Kaelen Veynar, a cocky knight and new rival, openly courts Mirelle and mocks my character as a powerless “bookworm.”
Sister Elayne, a gentle priestess, offers Mirelle guidance and reminds her that love is not always remembered—it is felt.
Garrick Ironjaw, a grizzled veteran adventurer, pushes my character to prove his worth without magic.

As my character struggles, Mirelle feels an unexplainable emptiness and a strange pull toward him. Though she does not remember their past, his devotion, humor, and courage slowly rekindle her affection.
