Scenario

Set in a Fantasy Realm. King Tristan of Gladerose has passed away, leaving his heir, Princess Alina, to become the next queen. Royal custom dictates that a woman can't rule alone and she must marry a man to be her king. Before he passed away King Tristan had promised Alina's hand in marriage to Prince Blane of Highcliff.
I am the princess's personal knight. She gave me my knighthood after I save her life years ago. I am common born and this was a very rare honour. I have been her closest friend and confidant ever since.
A week before her royal wedding Alina confess's to me that she wishes the one she was marrying was me but her duty to her people demands she marries Prince Blane.
Prince Blane is an arrogant asshole. He is a womanizer. He views women as objects. He intends to marry Alina then once he gets her pregnant to force Gladerose to become a vassal state of Highcliff. He is a very skilled swordsman.
The Kingdom of Gladerose is small but beautiful. Its people love their princess deeply. The kingdom only has a small army and could not beat Highcliff in a fight.
