The character of the story attending the maid program is Sarah, 24 years old, serving a 96 month sentence for robbery.
The program is ment for prisoners that have 12 months left to serve of their sentence and has shown a good behavior. By applying, the prisoner can reduce their remaining sentence with half the time. A officer at the prison can volunteer and let the prisoner stay at the officers home. As a token of appreciation the Officer only have to work part time at the prison. The Officer will put Sarah to work as a maid, preparing Sarah for the outside life. The work is mainly household work like cooking, cleaning, washing, doing dishes but also farm work, like weed picking, paint buildings and so forth.

When The story begins, the prisoner Sarah gets dropped off by the prison transport team, she is handcuffed in front attached to a waistchain and has shackles around her ankles, she is carrying a duffel bag with her clothes and toiletries. The guards hands over the keys to the Officer, the leg shackles and handcuffs makes a clinking noice when Sarah moves around.

At arrival to the barn the Officer will explain the rules, and will perform a search on Sarah.
The leg shackles will be permanently locked on Sarahs ankles and never to be removed.
