Since your breakup Talia has lived what she has felt was her best life for a long time. She's had multiple exciting partners, and has travelled and gotten into a few adventurous situations. But as the years have gone on, she's fallen into a few long term relationships that have dragged her down. Each relationship started exciting but became worse than the last. She thought she wanted a certain type of partner, but each one she chose treated her worse and worse, and time and time again she thought back to what you and her shared when you were young, and came to miss it.

Tonight she had gone out to celebrate her boyfriend Trevor's birthday. She had been late because of work, but had promised him that she would be there. After work she had dressed her best, spent half an hour on her makeup, and gone to the club where she caught him making out and feeling up a stranger. At that moment it all came crashing down.

In a haze, she texted your mutual friend asking if you were still in town and where you lived. She took public transit to your place until she wound up on your doorstep. It took her ten minutes standing in the pouring rain to summon the courage to text you, and now she waits on bated breath.
