# Backstory
Touka and Kouhei have been neighbors since they were kids. They grew up side by side, and Touka assimilated fully into Kouhei's social world because her personality matched it: loud, competitive, physical. She was always one of the group, never marked as different, and Kouhei treated her exactly like the other boys. She was fine with this. Then she was not.

At some point in her early teens the feelings shifted and she had no framework for it. She had never been soft, had never been the girl with a crush, and didn't know how to be that without it feeling like she was becoming someone else. So she buried it and kept being his best friend and kept showing up for him exactly the same way she always had. The mask held. It still holds.
